Our Ilayathalabathy has been kind enough to be the brand ambassador of Joy Alukkas, the Jewelry giant with over one billion dollar turnover. Its overseas head office is based in Dubai, while its corporate head office in India is operating from Cochin, Kerala. Vijay appeared in the advertisement on almost all televisions. It is well known that Madhavan has been the brand ambassador in the past year. You can watch him inaugurate a brand new Joy Alukkas store in Coimbatore.

Kollywood circles are murmuring silent rumors, if the change in Joy Alukkas Ambassadorship has to do with the film Pagalavan. Pagalavan, earlier titled Kobam, was thought about by Vijay.(©vijaysfan.com) He had spoken to director Seeman about this venture. Director Seeman is in Jail for his support of Eelam Tamils, and may be looking forward to Madhavan, to star in this movie. Apparently Director Seeman is looking for an actor with flexible schedule, so he can fit the schedule according to his needs. Note that Seeman had worked with Madhavan in "Thambi" and "vazhthukkal" and they are close friends.

Vijay, known for never looking back, looks confident and is undoubtedly the superstar of younger generation. The ad film itself is not just a treat to tamil fans, it is aired in Kerala also. The malayalam version of this advertisement is also expected to boost the business of Joy Alukkas. Joy Alukkas has a huge upcoming target for this year, and Kerala Vijay Fans may give a huge helping hand for the popularity and sales of Joy Alukkas Jewelry!

Kaaval Kaadhal ( காவல் காதல்) previously known as Kaavalkaaran (காவல்காரன்) is an upcoming romantic comedy movie starring IlayaThalabathy Vijay. The movie's shooting began in the beginning of April 2010 and will be released shortly.

Plot:

(Spoiler Warning) This section gives you the story line of kaaval kaadhal. If you do not want to read this, skip to the "tidbits" section!

Vijay is a young graduate, who has a strange behavior pattern. If he likes a VIP, he will worship him as a hero. Also, he will follow them wherever they go. One day, he sees Rajkiran, who is a big business magnate and likes him very much. To be close with him, Vijay applies for his bodyguard position. Rajkiran refuses initially, but Vijay keeps coming back with stronger recommendation. Rajkiran finally agrees to keep Vijay as his daughter's (asin) bodyguard.

Asin, who plays the role as Meera in this movie, is a college student. She hates Vijay for being with her all the time. She has a close friend, Mithra Kurian, and she hates Vijay too. The two girls now try to get rid of Vijay from being Asin's bodyguard. In order to distract him, they call Vijay's cellphone. Asin pretends to be a girl, "Ammu" who is in love with Vijay. Asin who had started calling Vijay, slowly realizes the very good heart of Vijay. She too falls in love with him. Mithra Kurian also develops a soft corner for Vijay's innocence. Mithra asks Asin to tell Vijay who "Ammu" really is. The time comes where Vijay has to leave Asin, since she finishes her college exams. Mithra asks Asin to go to the railway station and tell Vijay that she is his lover.

Things take a turn, when Rajkiran sees Vijay with Asin at the railway station. He suspects of an affair, and he beats him. Asin, afraid of his father, tells him that Mithra Kurian is "Ammu", Vijay's lover. Now, Mithra is forced to tell Vijay that she is his lover. Due to pressure, both Vijay and Mithra leave town together.

Many years later, Vijay and his son come back to meet Rajkiran. Vijay had married Mithra, but she had died a few years ago. Before dying, Mithra had written the whole story secretly in a diary and had given the diary to her son. Vijay's son knows who the real "Ammu" is. Vijay and his son get ready to go back, and his son asks if Asin would like to come to the railway station. Asin joins Vijay and his son. In the railway station, Vijay sees his son throw the diary in trash. He takes the diary and finds out who the real "Ammu " is.

Tid Bits about Kaaval Kaadhal:

1. This is probably the film with many, many controversies in all directions.

a)Kaavalkaaran (Satya Movies) . He made an issue out of the title, and the title had to be renamed to Kaaval Kaadhal.

b) Asin, defying the ban on cinema artistes to go to Sri Lanka, went there and mingled with Shiranthi Rajapakse. Shiranthi Rajapakse is the wife of Mahinda Rajapakse, who is currently being investigated for genocide of eelam tamils by the UN.

c) The distributors of Sura, revolted against Vijay and Vijay had to give a discount in price for his next movie. Therefore he had to bear the production cost of Kaaval Kaadhal.

2) Vijay's son, Sanjay is doing a guest role in this movie. He made his first appearance in "Naan Adicha Thangamatte" in Vettaikaaran.

3) One song was shot in Malaysia, Vijay made his second trip to Malaysia after Kuruvi. Apparently Vijay likes Yogi B and Natchatra's performance very much.

4) Siddique worked with Vijay many years ago in "Friends" . It was a big hit. Can he do the magic again? It is every vijay fan's wish that it will become a hit!

5) Vijay-Asin pair is beleived to be a lucky combination, since Sivakasi and Pokkiri are both hit movies. Hence, Kaaval Kadhal is expected to be a super hit.
