Vijay Marriage - Interesting Info & Pictures!

On August 25, 1999, IlayaThalabathy Vijay married Sangeetha. (Want to watch the album, as a slideshow? click here!) Vijay is probably the only tamil actor who was never involved in any scandals with actresses. He rarely talks to other heroines even on the shooting spot. This was an arranged marriage between Vijay and Sangeetha, who was born and brought up in London. She is of eelam tamil origin. Her Father Sornalingam is a big businessman in London and her mother Nirmala is a housewife.


The photo below is taken on Vijay's wedding reception. The person who is giving the gift is none other than "Ajith" . Vijay and Ajith are serious competitors in kollywood cinema, and Vijay Fans and Ajith Fans have had serious fights. Shalini, Ajith's wife is also standing on the left, who acted with Vijay in Kadhalukku Mariyadhai. Ajith and Vijay also acted together in the movie "Rajavin Parvaiyile"



In the next picture, Surya and his Father Sivakumar are posing with Vijay on the marriage reception. Surya has acted with Vijay in "Nerukku Ner" and "Friends" . Surya a small actor at the time of Vijay's wedding, is now an established and a seasoned actor.




This picture is taken on Vijay-Sangeetha Thala Deepavali (1st diwali after wedding) . They are enjoying sparkler sticks and fireworks and having a good time. When asked about Love, Vijay said that the real love starts after the marriage.

Sangeetha serves Vijay Dosai and Chicken Kulambu, which is IlayaThalabathy's favorite food. Vijay loves non vegetarian and he eats Chicken Curry with relish. Vijay likes to spend time with his wife whenever he is free. Unlike other tamil actors like Ajith or Dhanush, he does not like to socialize with other actors/actresses.



Vijay gives a cute, shy smile in this picture and his wife Mrs. Sangeetha Vijay is teasing him with some details about their married life. Sangeetha is a very cooperative person and she has to deal with the household chores by herself when Vijay is gone for shooting, sometimes for a few weeks.


This picture was taken at a later time, where Vijay and Sangeetha both look different. Vijay, has a slight french beard and Sangeetha is appearing in a skirt and a top. Vijay now has two kids, Jason Sanjay and Divya Saasha.



Mrs. Sangeetha visits London often. In fact, their son Sanjay was born in London. The interesting detail about Sanjay is that he was born on August 26, 2000. Exactly one year after the wedding!
